Construction and acoustic performance
Three layers bonded at the factory: natural wood veneer over an MDF slat (13 mm) on a continuous high-density polyester felt backing (9 mm).
22 mm total · 5.5 kg per panel · 120 × 60 cm
Measured by us, panel by panel, at our warehouse in Loulé.
The panel works by absorption: it reduces echo and reverberation inside the room. The 9 mm acoustic backing that supports this panel is rated NRC 0.75, average sound absorption α 0.67 (100–5000 Hz), tested to GB/T 20247-2006 with a 200 mm air gap.
These figures come from the test of the acoustic backing under those conditions — they are not figures for the finished slatted panel. Glued directly to the wall, with no air gap, real absorption is lower. We would rather tell you this than publish a number we cannot document for the assembled panel. This is an absorbing panel, not sound insulation: it improves the sound inside the room; it does not stop sound passing to the room next door.
