Description
The stone is cut with a craft knife and bonded with a trowel you already own. But the finish needs six small things — and the finish is the part people see.
- Masking tape — run along both sides of the joint before grouting and pulled off at the end. The stone absorbs water, and pigment travels with the water. The tape is what keeps the face clean.
- Grout bag — puts the grout inside the joint and nowhere else, like a piping bag. It is how the stone manufacturer does it.
- Small metal spatula — levels off the excess.
- Joint strips — for deeper joints and internal corners.
- Rubber roller — presses the panel into the adhesive without marking the face.
- Sponge — dry clean-up at the end.
