Description
In a shower, the water does not stay on the stone. It travels through the joints, reaches the wall, and the wall absorbs it.
This grey compound is spread on the wall before the stone is bonded and forms a continuous film that water will not cross. It is the step nobody sees once the job is done — and the only one you cannot put right without tearing it all out.
Months later a stain appears on the other side — and by then nothing can be done without breaking it open.
This is the format for a shower enclosure — walls and base. The 20 kg bag covers 6.7 m² at the thickness the data sheet calls for.
At a glance
- 20 kg bag — covers 6.7 m² at the correct thickness
- 1.5 kg/m² per millimetre; final thickness is 2 mm, in two crossed coats
- 2 hours between coats
- Wait 24 hours before bonding the stone over it
- Single-component: mixed with water alone
- Manufacturer reference: 169773
The first coat is mixed thinner and acts as its own primer. No bonding primer is needed underneath or on top.
